Yesterday morning soon after the train had left going west, some boys found a short distance from the water tank a three or four months old baby.  Mayor Cone was called and, taking it to his office, Dr. Shive and others were called in to decide what had best be done in the matter.  It was finally decided and wisely too that the City Marshall should make a coffin and bury her.  The supposition is that some one on the train gave premature birth to the child as clots of blood was found along the track.  The Burrton Monitor, Burrton, Kansas.  Friday, November 28, 1884.  Page 3.
