Lola Faye (Hershberger) Garrett

Lola Faye Garrett, 83, passed away on June 9, 2010, in Hillsboro, Ore. She was born on Jan. 12, 1927, in Newton to Elmer and Amy Hershberger. She attended Newton High School. She married B.G. Garrett in September 1948 in Seattle, Wash. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. She was of the Episcopal faith. Survivors include her husband, B.G. Garrett, of Hillsboro, Ore.; and sons, Monte Garrett of Beaverton, Ore., Tony Garrett of Sausalito, Calif., and Matthew Garrett of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Portland, Ore., officiated by Mother Raggs, St. James Episcopal Church. Memorials may be given to Salem Alliance Church or the Faye Garrett Memorial Fund.
