Erple Estelle (Weaver) Castor, 88, died June 6, 2009. She was born July 13, 1920 in Okfuskee, Okla., the daughter of James L. and Gertrude R. (Meredith) Weaver. She grew up in Okfuskee and Nuyaka area, and graduated from Nuyaka High School. On Aug. 19, 1939, she married Charles W. Castor in Chandler, Okla. Survivors include: daughters, Charlene Rathbun and husband Art, Natoma, Sue Paget, Waldo, Judy Snow and husband Phillip, Shulter, Okla., and Karren Critchfield and husband Terry, Burrton; son, Kevin and wife Laurie, Hutchinson; sister, Geraldean Brimer, Jenks, Okla.; brother, Ammon Weaver, Mounds, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, daughter, Myrlene Brungardt, son, James Castor, three sisters, four brothers and a son-in-law. Celebration of Erple's Life was held Tuesday at Natoma United Methodist Church, Natoma. Burial took place in Natoma City Cemetery. Memorials to Burrton Housing Authority-Brigadoon, in care of Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Natoma.
