Augusta E (Huuss) Sattler

Mrs. Augusta E. Sattler, 83, of Route 4, died early this morning at her home.

Mrs. Sattler was born Jan. 23, 1879, in Oldenburg, Germany, and came to this country when she was a year old. She lived the remainder of her life in the Newton area. She was the daughter of Henry and Maria Huuss. She was married to Fred Sattler, Oct. 24, 1897 in Newton. He died March 19, 1923.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Russell [Bertha] Musser, Mrs. Pete [Edith] Schroeder, Mrs. Howard [Lucia] Havens,all of Newton, Mrs. Louis [Luella] Boyer of Sterling, Ill., Mrs. Horace [Eleanor] Mathews of Wichita, and Mrs. William [Ethel] Ohlerking of Brookhaven, Pa.; three sons, Art of Route 4, William of Udall and Adolf of Route 1, Newton; a sister, Mrs. Ed [Emma] Foth of Lake Stevens, Wash.; 43 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10;30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church by the Rev. Luther E. Vogal. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Moody-Petersen Funeral Home prior to the services.
