Information from Elsie Lowman's address book.

Mable was an illegitimate child of Margaret Maggie Milne. Her father was her grandfather Milne. Her mother Maggie Milne was sent away as a very young girl to Chicago to have Mable. When Maggie returned to Kansas she was living at home with the baby and the baby was accepted as her sister in the community. Later when Maggie married, Mabel was then accepted by Maggie's husband as her child.Some stories state Mabel was born at the Milne homestead. She went to live with Harrison and Maggie Lowman in 1909. Some believe Francis Lowman was the son of Mable.

When Maggie died Mable did not want her buried with her husband, and she is not.
