George W. Brown Expired At His Home Last Night

George W. Brown died unexpectedly at his home at 325 East Eighth street last evening shortly before midnight. He had been working around the premises yesterday and nothing appeared to be wrong. His wife was awakened in the night and before she could summon help he was gone.

Mr. Brown was born in Meade County, Kentucky, June 2, 1834. On April 30, 1856 he was married to J. J. Hickerson and in 1865 they moved from Kentucky to Henderson County, Illinois and from Illinois to Harvey County, Kansas in March 1880. In 1889 he moved to Newton from his farm in Newton township. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn is loss. Julian H., William E., Mollie E. Harvey, Richfield, Kansas, Susan M. Philipps, Walter F., Minnie I., and Mrs. Janice Francis. The arrangements for the funeral depend up the word received from relatives who have been wired and will be announced in tomorrow's Kansan.

Cause of death was heart disease.
