Obituary

Kansan, Wednesday, April 20, 1904

Bruce hart was born in Harvey county, August thirteenth, 1889, and died April eleventh from the effects of cancer of the knee. The funeral took place at the Methodist church yesterday at three o'clock where a large circle of friends gathered to pay the last sad rites to one so young. The pall bearers consisted of six of the dead boy's school mates and the remains were followed to the city cemetery by a large concourse of friends. They were laid to rest by the side of his mother who preceded him February first 1895. He leaves a father,four brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss. He was also a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. John Herby.
Bruce, your loving presence and sweet disposition is gone from among us, but never to be forgotten.
