Gallaher, John

October 20, 1887. Another old veteran answered the call of the Great Commander today and passed to world beyond to greet his comrades on the other shore. John Gallaher, aged forty years, died at the home of R. B. Ransom, 113 East Tenth street, this morning at eleven o'clock. He was a man greatly respected and dearly loved by all who knew him, and his numerous friends will be pained to learn of his death. He will be buried tomorrow morning at ten o'clock under the auspices of the G. A. R. post of the city. He was a brave soldier, tried and true, served faithfully in the war of rebellion as a member of Co F. 82d Reg't., Ohio Vol. Infantry.
