Carl Frederick Haury, Jr

Carl F. Haury Jr., 73, farmer and former Halstead Hospital laundry manager, died Monday (July 30, 2001) at Halstead Hospital.

He was born Nov. 11, 1927, to Carl F. and Clara A. (Banze) Haury Sr. in Halstead. They preceded him in death. He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Halstead.

Survivors include: a son, Rick Haury of Wamego; two daughters, Ruth Alexander and Monica Flask, both of Halstead; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He also was preceded in death by: a brother, Donald W. Haury; and a sister, Ruth M. Roper.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Mennonite Church in Halstead with the Rev. Cleo Koop and the Rev. Loris Habegger officiating. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery. Memorials have been established with the Kansas Learning Center for Health and First Mennonite Church, both of Halstead, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, 418 Chestnut Street, Halstead, KS 67056.
