The deceased had been working on the masonry of the new bank building. He had worked Thursday and went to bed that night at this brother’s home in apparently as good health as common. Friday morning the family arose as usual and called Winsor who answered but did not get up. When breakfast was ready he was called again, but did not answer. His brother went to his room to investigate and found him dead in bed. The family at Newton was at once notified and Mrs. Congdon and Morris came down immediately and Orville and his wife arrived from Missouri in time to attend the funeral.
Winsor Congdon was born in Wallingford, Vermont Feburary 20, 1851 and died as above stated June 10, 1910 aged 59 years, 3 months and 21 days. Of this union three children were born, one died in infancy, two sons Morris of Newton and Orville of Missouri together with the wife survive him. Of the original family two brothers of the deceased, John T. of this city and George Congdon of Vermont are all that remain.
