Obituary

Ronald E. Swann, 63, died Aug. 13, 2007, at Harry Hynes Hospice, Via Christi Hospital, Wichita.

He was born April 9, 1944, in Kansas City, the son of Ollen and Gladys Day Swann. He graduated from Burrton High School in 1962 and then attended Bethel College, Newton, and the Emporia State University. He was employed as a salesman for Conklin Motors, Hutchinson, for many years. He was currently employed at Automotive Supply, Inc., Wichita. He belonged to the Hutchison Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include: a step-son, Ronnie Graber, Burrton; a step-daughter, Debbie Adams, Nickerson; one brother, Robert Swann, Burrton; and a niece, Christine Swann, Tucson, Ariz.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Burrton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Morgan presiding. There will be no visitation, the register book will be available for signatures from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson. Burial will follow funeral in Burrton Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Burrton United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
