Zuercher, Norma



Norma Jean Zuercher, 72, died Wednesday (Feb. 18, 2004) at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater.

She was born March 31, 1931, to George and Susan (Duvanel) Wuthrich in Newton. She married Elwood Zuercher Aug. 26, 1949, at the Federated Church in Whitewater. He survives of Whitewater.

She was a member of the Swiss Church in Whitewater. She attended Augusta and Potwin high schools and graduated with the Class of 1949 from Potwin High School.

Other survivors include: three sons, Stan Zuercher and Loren Zuercher, both of Whitewater, and Norman Zuercher of Bel Aire; a daughter, Sandra Jensen of Whitewater; two sisters, Arlene McCarley of Olathe and SueAnn Warkentin of Lincoln, Neb.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bob Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Swiss Church with Pastors Dale Janzen and Arnold Ensz officiating. Burial will be in Swiss Church Cemetery in Whitewater. Memorials have been established with the Swiss Church and Wheat State Manor, both in care of the funeral home, 216 S. Main Street, Whitewater, KS 67154.
