Moved to Illinois when a small girl, was married at Harding, LaSalle county, Illinois, December 18, 1863, to Gerritt DeLong. In 1884 she and her family moved to Newton, Kansas, and in 1886 moved to a farm near Walton, residing there until 1897, at which time the family moved back to Newton. She was the mother mother of three, Bert C. DeLong, Nellie G. DeLong and Hattie A. DeLong.
