The body of Mrs. J. T. Patterson arrived today at noon accompanied by her husband from Burkburnett, Texas, where her death had occurred Sunday at 3 o'clock following severe burns she had received on the previous day when her dress caught fire from the flames of a gasoline stove. Her body was taken to the home of her mother, Mrs. Alice Shacklett, at 527-1/2 Main Street, and her funeral service will be held at the Sprinker chapel Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Reve. Alpha Ingle will conduct the service. Mrs. Patterson was formerly Miss Alice Shacklett, and resided in Newton in her girlhood days, but her home has been away from here for the past eight years. Besides her husband those who survive her are her mother, and brother Jack of Newton, Mrs. W. L. Ball of Galveston Texas, Mrs. Fred Brining of Oakland, California, Robert of Dallas, Mrs. Lillian Shea of Covington Oklahoma, and her two soldier brothers Cleve at Camp Travis, and the youngest brother, Glenn, who is in France.
