Brooks & Kosminski Marry
The Newton Kansan

Sasha Jean Brooks and Andre Joseph Kosminski, both of Newton, were married during a 7 p.m. April 18, 2003, ceremony at 439 Sherman Place in Newton, during an outdoor lakeside wedding at the home of the bride. Judge Sam Sturm officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Shirley Brooks of Newton. She is the granddaughter of Edith Spinden of Burns and the late Fred Spinden, as well as Louise Brooks of Winfield and the late Val Brooks. The groom is the son of Lynn Kosminski of Newton and Leota Kosminski of Newton. He is the grandson of the late Andre and Frieda Kosminski and Otis and Leona Hasty.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a full-length backless satin A-line gown, beaded with pearls and iridescent sequins. The veil was accented with burgundy and white satin roses encrusted with pearls. Colors for the wedding were burgundy and white with florals of sweetheart roses, Easter lilies, peace lilies and summer daisies. Maid of honor was Meagan Schrag of Newton. Best man was Mario Guerrero of Newton. Becky Spinden of Burns was the musician. Guest book attendant was Nikki Brooks of Newton. Ushers were Daniel Brooks of Newton, Jon Wiebe of Whitewater, Matthew Spinden of Burns and Eli French of Oxford.
A reception was at the bride's home. Hosting were the bride's aunts and cousins, Helen and Kristen Wiebe, Mary, Joy and Sharon Busenitz of Whitewater, Trudy French of Oxford and Leann Spinden of Burns.
The couple took a wedding trip to Wichita, and they have made their home at 606 Plaza Blvd. in Hesston. The bride is employed by Burger King of Newton. The groom is employed by AGCO Corp. in Hesston.
