Caroline M (Enns) Fransen

Caroline M. Fransen, 87, died (Nov. 28, 2010) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

She was born on May 5, 1923, in Meade, the daughter of Abraham J. and Margaretha Wiens Enns. She married Nick K. Fransen on Jan. 1, 1948, at Meade. He died in 1988. She was a homemaker. She was a past member of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church in Meade and a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Hesston.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Arlen) Wiens of Newton; two brothers, Art Enns of Chicago and Richard Enns of Wichita; three sisters, Edna Entz of Newton, Ruby Enns of Meade and Jane Thielenhaus of Norton, Ohio; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard and Frank and Herb; and one sister, Leona Entz.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Schowalter Villa Chapel. Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Schowalter Villa Chapel, with Pastor Wendy Miller officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Countryside Bible Church Cemetery in Meade. Memorials can be made to the Good Samaritan Caring Fund in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home 107 S. Lancaster St. in Hesston.
