Mrs. John M. Nebergall
Mrs. Edith Grace Nebergall, 75, of Guymon, Okla., a former Newton resident, died here Sunday.
She was born June 5, 1896 in Hesston, the daughter of Charles Wesley and Nancy Smith, and resided in the Newton area most of her life.
She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, Ladies of the Elks and VFW Auxiliary.
She married John McNeal Nebergall April 5, 1913 in Newton. Mr. Nebergall died July 31, 1960.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. L. D. (Hildred) Denney of Guymon and Mrs. W. P. (Peggy) Hamm of Wichita; 3 sons, Russell and Preston of Hesston and Jim of Great Bend; 2 sisters, Mrs. Nellie Todd of Arlington and Mrs Georgia Rogers of Kansas City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 1st United Methodist Church. Dr. Armour H. Evans will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. (Not buried in Greenwood. Buried in Hesston City Cemetery, Hesston, KS. 27 May 2002)
Calling time at Peterson Funeral Home will be prior to services.
A memorial fund has been established for the kidney machine at Bethel Deaconness Hospital.
