Mrs. Dorothy Whitesell, 65, of 128 E. 9th St. died suddenly Sunday evening at her home.
She was born March 24, 1899 in Rebersburg, Pa. and came to Newton from Illinois when she was a child.
She was a member of the 1st Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Sunflower Club.
She was married to Elmer O. Whitesell, March 21, 1918 in Newton. He survives of the home. Other survivers include one daughter, Mrs. Frank [Ramona] Hutchison of Austin , Texas; one son, Bill, of Alamogordo, N. M.; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Black of Newton and Mrs. Florence Miller of Kansas City, Kas., three brothers, Carl Spangler of Peabody, Ellis Spangler of Manhattan and Charles J. Spangler of Blackie, Alberta, Canada. One brothe, Ward Spangler, and her parents, Joseph and Anna Spangler preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P. M. Wednesday and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
