She was born 1858 or 1859, Marshall co. West Virgina. Daughter of Samuel and Catherine Conway Pride.
She was one of thirteen children. The family was removed from west Virginia to Atchison county, Kansas first, then moved to Marion county before homesteading in Garden township in Harvey county.
Zaney married Spencer Filbeck, November 24, 1874. Their daughter Mary Catherine was was born in 1875. Spencer died October 12, 1875 and Zaney died December 11, 1875. Mary Catherine was not quite four months old.
