Lichti couple to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Rudolph and Elda Lichti of North Newton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Kidron Bethel Community Room, 500 Bluestem in North Newton.
Rudolph Lichti and the former Elda Ewert were married Aug. 5, 1949. They lived in the Reedley, Calif., area for 30 years before moving to Glendale, Ariz., for 16 years. To be near family, they moved to North Newton in 1995.
He worked in fruit farming and related businesses. She was a homemaker and office worker.
The open house is being sponsored by their son Marlin, his wife Monica and grandchildren Suzanne and Benjamin Lichti.
