Carol M. Cook, 63, died Wednesday (May 8, 2002) in McPherson County. She was born March 14, 1939, to George and Mable (Gillis) Nell in Milwaukee. They preceded her in death. She married Bruce Cook May 5, 1972, in Milwaukee. He survives of the home. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school and served on several church committees at Salem United Methodist Church. She was a case manager for Multi Community Diversified Services in McPherson. She was active in the Newton Launchers and Newton Recreation Center soccer programs and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Other survivors include: three sons, Aaron Cook and Bradley Cook, both of Newton, and Jason Cook of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Rebecca Ribble and husband Jonathan of Lincoln, Neb.; a daughter-in-law Christina Bell of Newton; a brother, George Bell of Wisconsin; a sister, Claire Moe of Sussex, Wis., three grandsons, Bailey Cook of Newton and Dylan Ribble and Skyler Ribble, both of Lincoln; and a granddaughter, Riley Cook of Wichita.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Monty Fey officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with Salem United Methodist Church and with Multi Community Diversified Services, both in care of the funeral home.
