Salinda M. (Showalter) Lewis

Mrs. Salinda M. Lewis, 92, formerly of 318 S. Pine, died Thursday at Friendly Acres.
She was born Nov. 15, 1881 in Cerro Gordo, Ill.. She lived in Newton most of her life.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of the 1st Baptist Church and Newton Chapter No. 5, Order of the Eastern Star. Her Husband, Harold Lewis, died October 13, 1963.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Helen) Whitney, Amity, Ark., Mrs. Doyl (Irene) Box, Everett, Wash., and Mrs. Elvin (Ruth) Warhurst, Newton: 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church with Rev. Fred Spinder officiating, Burial will be at Greenwood Cemeery.
