Robert E. Hall, 64, Halstead, died Thursday Dec. 18, 1997 at Via Christi Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

Born Feb. 8, 1933 in rural Halstead, he was the son of Alfred Roy and Elizabeth Chrismore Hall. A life long resident of Halstead, he was a financial analyst for Boeing in Wichita.

He was a 1951 graduate of Halstead High School and was graduated in 1958 from the University of Kansas. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of First United Methodist Church; Americana Legion Post 231 (Past Commander), Halstead; Phi Kappa Psi; Treasurer and Trustee of Kansas Learning Center for Health, Halstead, and Elks Lodge 106 of Newton.

He maried Mary Jo Sumpter at Halstead June 1, 1963. She survives: Other survivors, two sons, Michael R. Hall, Halstead, Mark R. Hall, Kansas City, Missouri; daughter Michelle J. Hall, Champaign, Ill; sister, LaDeen Willm, Halstead and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Alvin Hall, Elbert Hall and Gerald "Bink" Hall.

Services were held Dec. 10, 1997 at the First United Methodist Church, Halstead, with Rev. James Mardock presiding. Burial was in the Halstad Cemetery.
