Myrtle (Piper) Williams Burkett

Mrs. Ivy Myrtle Burkett died Tuesday evening at the Halstead Hospital. She was 90. Here parents were Mr. & Mrs. J. S. Piper, pioneer settlers in the Halstead community.

For the past 15 years she had resided with Miss Geertrude Barnard. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews. She was a sister-in-law to Arthur B. Williams, having married his brother, Oral Preston Williams in May 27, 1892. He died Oct. 13,1895. She later married Mr. Burkett and moved with him to Oregon where she lived until he passed away, at which time she moved back to Halstead.

Funeral arrangements will be held July 7 at the Kaurman Funeral Chapel with Rev. H. G. Feldmann officiating.
