Elizabeth Frances (Fry) Dodson

Mrs. Elizabeth Dodson, wife of Charles Dodson, was found dead in the yard at the family home west of Sedgwick last Saturday afternoon, February 13, where she had evidentally fallen when striken with heart disease. Mr. Dodson and a hired hand were working in a field at another part of the farm and were notified at once and everything possible was done to bring back the spark of life, but the efforts were without avail.

Elizaabeth Frances Frye was born in Shanandoah Coounty, Virginia, September 19, 1842 and died February 18, 1904, age 61 years 5 months and 21 days. She was married to Charles F. Dodson, June 22, 1859. To them were born 8 children, all of whom are living except one who died in infancy. She united with the Lutheran church while young and lived a constant Christian till death.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. A. B. Williams (Ella) and Mrs. James (Cora) Corkill, both of rural Sedgwick.

Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday morning after which the remains were laid to rest at Hillside cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas/
