Cleo Fay Matlack, 82, Burrton, died March 7, 2000 at Hutchinson Hospital. She was born August 2, 1917 at Burrton, daughter of Archie and Lula May (Clark) Bottoms. A lifetime resident of Burrton, she attended school at Burrton and graduated from Burrton High School. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church, Aurora Club, and a member of the United Methodist Women. She held many offices in both the church and UMW for many years.

On Octobeer 31, 1937 she married Neil Matlack at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Parsonage, rural Burrton.

Survivors include her husband; son, Jack Douglas Matlack, Del Valle, Tesas; two daughters, Carol Sue Christensen, McPherson, Patricia Ann Blaine, Oklahoma City; one sister, Leonora Thompson, Burrton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Victor Bottoms and Adrian Bottoms, and one sister, Pauline Rose.

Services were held Friday March 10 at the Burrton United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Larry Ankron. Interment was in the Burrton Cemetery.
