Dougal Carmichael

Dougal Carmichael, who would have been 74 years old today died in his home, 322 East 8th, Hutchinson, of a heart attack at 10:55 p.m. last night.

Mr. Carmichael was born near Toronto, Canada. He was in the mercantile business in Burrton and Haven many years before moviing to Hutchinson seven years ago. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen and the Christian Church.

Mr. Carmichael is survived by his wife, Cora; five daughters, Mrs. Austin Stone, Burrton, Mrs. E. E. McNeill, Cherokee, Okla; Mrs. R. N. Hill, Fairmount, W. Va; Mrs. A. D. Henderson, Burrton and Miss Virginia Carmichael of the home; two brothers, George of Burrton and John of Hutchinson; five sisters, Mrs. Thomas Dyson, Hutchinson, Mrs. Frank Tucker, Haven; Mrs. Frank DeWater, Burrton, Mrs. Rose Brown, Burrton and Mrs. Lucy Matlack of Hutchinson; and eight grandchildren.

Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
