William Elmer Baughman, resident of the Burrton community almost all his life, died at his home yesterday morning at 67 o'clock after an illness of several months. He was 67 years old.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Christian Church with the Rev. W. S. Luper in Charge. Burial will be in the Burrton cemetery.

William was born June 27, 1875 on the farm where he died on August 5, 1942. He was the third son of the late Mr. & Mrs. H. Baughman. He was married almost 40 years ago to Mabel Reed, on October 19, 1902. To this union were born four children. He lived most of his life near Burrton and was a Past Master of the Burrton Masonic lodge and a member of the Consistery at Wichita.

In addition to his wife, he is surved by his children; Mrs. Wilma Chase, Hutchinson,, Mrs. Margaret Proper of Burrton, Jess Baughman of San Diego, California and Lloyd Baughman of Burrton; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Frank, Joe and Ed, all of Burrton and one sister, Mrs. B. E. Churchman of Burrton.
