To those who have known Mrs. Hege, little need be said regarding her life and character. She was known as a Christian lady. Her life was an examplary one. She was a kind and faithful mother, bringing up her children in the bear of the Lord and to them her memory will always be a blessed one. She was a good neighbor and the poor and sick have lost a friend in her death. She early confessed her faith in the Savior and during her life, which was not without its sorrows. He was her constant friend and companion. She died as she had lived trusting in the merit of her Redeamer. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." Mrs. Hege will long be remembered by her numerous friends and relatives. Few are more beloved and respected. The large procession which followed the body to the cemetery was a token of the esteem in which she was held. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
