Phillip V. Bansemer, 65, of St. Mary's, Kansas, formerly of Halstead, died Friday April 30, 1999 at his home.

He was born September 1, 1934 at Halstead, son of Vernon and Imogene Schwob Bansemer. He grew up in the Halstead community and graduated from Halstead High School in 1952. A resident of St. Mary's since 1972, he was a retired businessman, chimney sweep and an AA couonselor.

Hr was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys, a member of AA for 37 years, and a life member of North American Fishing Club. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Germany.

On September 26, 1959 he married Helen Tally at Garden City. She survives. Other survivors: three sons, Alan Bansemer, Newton, Philip Bansemer, Ft. Riley, Kansas and David Bansemer, St. Mary's; two daughters, Aileen Delforge, Valley Center and Coleen Vogts, Moundridge; sister, Doris Stribling, Valley Center; and ten grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
