Obituary

O. Virginia Hayes, 100, died January 16, 2007 at Sedgwick Healthcare Center. She was born February 16, 1906 in New Albany, Mississippi, daughter of Leonard and Hattie Velma Kelley Lindsey. She was a homemaker. She belonged to the First Christian Church, Sedgwick.

On August 10, 1947 she married Guy V. Hayes in Sedgwick. He died September 23, 1996. Survivors: son, Robert, Lake Charles, Louisiana; two daughters, Shirley Ayers, Newton and Elaine Pratt, Wichita; two brothers, Lee Lindsey, Fredereick, Oklahoma and Lewis Lindsey, Paradise, California; three sisters, Toie Wright and Rollins, both of Wichita and Bobbie Jean Bryan, Houston; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donny Hayes; three brothers, Olin, Fred and William Lindsey; an infant brother; and six sisters, Jackie Werden, Mel Hodnett, Margarete Jordan, Aline Kinny, Ruby White and Lillian Stewart.

Funeral services were held at Kaufman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
