Louis G. Charlton

Louis G. Charlton, 69, 717 West 8th, retired manager of the Gas Service Co. died Thursday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born October 19, 1905 in Independence, Missouri, son of George and Mary Charlton. He married Dorothy R. Records, October 15, 1934 at Independence. They moved to Newton from Carrollton, Missouri in 1949. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Independence and the Elks Lodge in Newton.

Survivors: the widow of the home; daughter, Miss Judith Charlton, Winfield; one son, Peter R., Weatherford, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew McLarnon and Mrs. Luvenia McLarnon, both of Middletown, New York; three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Saturday in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Dave C. Wedel officiating.
