Miles, Williie Posie

The Newton Kansan

W. P. Miles, 75, 1309 S. Pine, died at Bethel Deaconess Hosspital Monday night following a short illness. Funeral services will be Thursday in Petersen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fred Spinder, pastor of the First Baptist Church in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Miles is survived by the widow, of the home; three sons, James William, Chico, California and Clayton and Eugene, Newton; a sister, Mrs. Zaddie Ward, Ojia, California and three grandchildren.

He was born at Bucyrus, Missouri on November 2, 1898, son of William and Lula Miles and married Francis Pauline Robinson at Prescott, Missosuri on March 2, 1919. He moved here from Huston, Missouri in 1936. He was a retired employee of the Newton public school system. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and of the Modern Woodman Lodge.
