Jacob Julius Keller

Jacob J. Keller, son of Julius and Johanna Lehman Keller, died Tuesday, May 2, 1944 at the Halstead Hospital after an illness of several weeks at the ageo of 75 years. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, at the Halstead Mennonite church. Rev. D. C. Wedel will preach the funeral sermon.

Mr. Keller was born in Summerfield, Illinois on April 29, 1869. He was married on April 28, 1898 to Katie Berger. He had been a farmer and dairyman in the Halstead community for many years, although ill health had prevented his being very active in recent years. He and Mrs. Keller moved to Halstead from the farm north of town several months ago.

Besides his wife, Mr. Keller is survived by four sons, Oliver Keller of Harper, Arthur of Halstead, Raymond of Australia and Cecil of Halstead; one daughter, Mrs. Sam Bauman of Halstead; a sister, Mrs. Viola Chapin of California and a brother, Ed Keller of Halstead.
