Obituary

Alfred (Mike) Baumann, 92. of rural Burrton, died Friday morning at Colonial Manor in Haven, Kansas. He was born April 24, 1894 near Halstead and married Selma Farber on October 9, 1918 at Halstead.

A retired farmer, he was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church. He had been a Mason for 50 years.

Survivors: wife of the home; two sons, Eldon W. Baumann and Allen E. Baumann, both of Burrton; two brothers, B. H. (Sam) Baumann, Halstead and Fred L. Baumann, Wichita; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Grimsman, Mt. Hope and eight grandchidren.

Services were held Monday afternoon at the Burrton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy E. Nelson conducting. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Harvey County Cancer Society.
