Lawrence B. Marak, Sr., 68, Halstead. died May 27. 1976 at the Halstead Hospital. He was a retired maintenance engineer for the hospital

Services were held Saturday, May 29 at Sacred Heart catholic church, Halstead. Burial was in the Halstead cemetery.

He was born October 2, 1907 near Halstead, the son of Joseph and Anna E. Warkentine Marak. He married Eva June Howell November 28, 1936 in Newton. He had lived in the Halstead area all of his life.

Survivors: Widow of the home; son, Lawrence B. Jr., Lee's Summit, Missouri; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Betty Jo) Entz, Newton and Mrs. John (Berniece) Wedman, Medford, Oklahoma; one brother, Charles, Syracuse, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Wallace (Agnes) McLean, Springfield, Missouri; Mrs. Robert (Edith) Moulds, Rapid City, South Dakota and Mrs. Gene (Pauline) Nickels, Pateros, Washington; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Draper-Cannon Funeral Home, Newton, was in charge of services. Memorials have been established for the Cancer or Heart Fund.
