Orville 'Joe' Hess

Orville "Joe" Hess, 33, died Sunday, December 7, 1980, at Northwest Medical Center, Goodland, Kansas of injuries he received in a car accident that day. He was born June 24, 1947 at Halstead, the son of Orville H. Hess and Mildred Dyck Hess. He married Kathryn J. Gleason April 15, 1965 at Newton, Kansas. He was a lifelong resident of Halstead and a sales representative for Skyline Corporation at Halstead.
He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Halstead.

Survivors: include his wife of the home; one son, Bradley and two daughters, Michelle M. and Melissa A., all of the home; his parents Mr. & Mrs. Orville H. Hess, Halstead; two sisters, Miss Dee Ann Hess, Manhattan and Mrs. Michael (Randi) Schaff, Longview, Washington.

Services will be held Thursday afternoon, December 11 at the United Methodist Church in Halstead. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Heart Fund and the Halstead Ambulance Department.
