Obituary

Fred L. Baumann, Valley Center, brother of B. H. "Sam" Baumann, rural Halstead, died Tuesday May 31, 1983 at the Halstead Nursing Center. He was born September 11, 1888 at Halstead, the son of Fred and Marie Stucky Baumann. He married Bertha B. Cooprider March 28, 1923 at Hutchinson. She died August 6, 1951. He married Louella Burras November 29, 1952 at Kansas City. She died September 3, 1971. He was a retired farmer and had been a Valley Center resident since 1940.

He was a member of Palmyra Baptist Church, Benton, Kansas.

Other survivors: daughter, Norma Kerr, Wichita; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services were held Friday afternoon, June 3, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with the Rev. Dale Sneeringer. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
