Raymond Unruh, 69, retired production foreman for Legg Co. in Halstead, died January 28, 1993 at the Halstead Hospital. He was born January 19, 1924 in rural Halstead to Cornelius D. and Adenia Becker Unruh. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the U. S. Navy, a member of American Legion Post #231 in Halstead and VFW Post #971 in Newton.

He married Euinice Stanley in Newton on July 12, 1945. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Kenneth of Louisville, Texas; daughter, Helen of Kotzebue, Alaska; nine sisters, Susie Smith and Lydia Unruh of Montezuma; Inez Friesen and Clara Penner, both of Newton; Elizabeth Schmidt of Atwater, California; Nina Unruh of Halstead; Malinda Koehn of Hesston; Pearl Kater, Wichita and Sarah Croy of Phoenix, Arizona and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane in 1949.

Funeral will be Monday at First Menmnonite church in Halstead. Burial will be in Restlawn Gardens of Memory. Kaufman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
