Obituary

John F. Baumann Jr., 76,, of 4502 S. Spencer, died Tuesday March 23, 1993 at Veterans Hospital in Wichita. He was a retired farmer and sheet metalsmith retiring from Excel in 1980. He was born October 12, 1916 to John F. Sr. and Minnie Frances Kissick, Baumann. He moved to Newton in 1946. He was a member of First United Church of Christ, American Legion, Eagles Lodge and was a lifetime member of VFW.

He married Frances Erma Warr in Macclenny, Florida. She survives. Other survivors: three sons, Lee of Wichita and David and Kim both of Newton; two sisters, Lela Sherwood of Haysville and Margaret Bates of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons.

Funeral service will be Friday in Petersen's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
