Clarence E Zarnowski

Clarence E. "Bud" Zarnowski, 76, Halstead, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998 at the Hutchinson Nospital. He was born June 20, 1921 at Newton, the son of Jacob and Mazie Roadenbaugh Zarnowski. A Lifelong are resident, moving to Halstead in 1946, he was a dairyman and the retired U. S. Postmaster of Halstead. He was currently a Halstead Hospital Buggy Driver for Halstead Hospital.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead; a charter board member of Disability Supports of the Great Plains, Inc; and he attended Kansas State university where he was a member of Farmhouse Fraternity.

On September 2, 1945 he married Marjorie Elizabeth Unruh at Newton. She survives. Other survivors: son, Roger Zarnowski, San Angelo, Texas; daughters,Catherine Schoenecker, Sedgwick, Joyce Jones, Wichita and Marian Johnson, McPherson; Loretta Ewing, Wichita and Susan Zarnowski, McPherson; sister Margaret Henson, Dana Point, California; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a broher, Marion Zarnowski and a sister, LaVerta Zarnowski.

A rosary for the public was held July 6 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The funeral mass was private with burial in Halstead Cemetery.
