Obituary

Yovonne Jane Thornhill, 73, Enid, Oklahoma, former Halstead resident, died Friday, January 8, 1999 at Enid, Oklahoma. She was born July 17, 1925 at Sedgwick, the daughter of Marion and Velma Thornhill. After graduating from Halstead High School in 1944 she went to work in Wichita at Midwestern Procurement for a year. This was followed by 11 years with the Internal Revenue Serice and 22 years with the U.S. Air Force as a civil service employee. She finished her working years with five years in the library at Chisholm Elementary School and five years in the pre-school at Oakwood Christian Church. She was a member of Willing Workers Sunday School class.

Survifvors: niece, Diane Goodwin, Enid and three nephews, Doug Hale, Rod Hale and Jeff Hale, all of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother, Keith Thornhill.

Services were held at Oakwood Christian Church in Enid. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
