Eleanor C (Johnson) Unruh

Eleanor C. Unruh, 83, died February 3, 2006 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. She was born December 6, 1922 in Hesston, daughter of Obed and Esther K. Holdeman Johnson. She graduated in 1940 from Halstead High School and in 1944 from Halstead Hospital School of Nursing. She belonged to Grace Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church, Halstead.

She married Freeman Unruh on February 6, 1946 in Halstead. He died September 13, 2004. Survivors: two sons, Roger and Kenneth, both of Halstead; two sisters, Theda Becker, Moundridge and Betty Koehn, Galva; two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Errol "Zeke" Johnson.

Funeral will be Tuesday at Grace Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church, Halstead with Ministers Kenneth Smith and Raleigh Koehn presiding. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery.
