Amelia L (Montano) Baker

Amelia L. Baker, 57, homemaker, died Thursday, Janauary 22, 2009 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, in Wichita. She was born April 21, 1951 in Newton to Armando "Herman" and Martina Estrada Montano. both survive of Newton. She married Charles O. Baker in Newton on April 28, 1973. He survives.

Other survivors: sons, Grandon and Casey Baker of Plainsville, Conn. and Domonick Baker of Halstead; daughters, Kara and Katrina Baker of Halstead and Kimberley Baker of Owosso, Michigan; brothers, Ronnie and Gregory Montano of Newton; Louis Montano of Park City and John Montano of Raytown, Missouri and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Edmundo Montano.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead. Cremation will follow the service. Committal service will be Thursday at the Halstad Cemetery.
