Betty Jean (Ewy) Shepherd

Betty Jean Shepherd, 76, housekeeper for Hertzler Clinic died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Newton Medical Center in Newton.

She was born August 6, 1932 in Halstead to John and Dorothy Brown Ewy. She was a lifelong Halstead resident and member of First Mennonite Church in Halstead. She married Robert L. Shepherd in Sedgwick on August 7, 1954. He died January 12, 1981.

Survivors: sister-in-law, Katherine Ewy of Halstad; nephew Steve (Jill) Ewy of Halstead; niece, Diane (Paul) Davison of Sedgwick. She was precedeed in death by a brother, Forrest Ewy.

Committal service was this morning at Halstad Cemetery in Halstead followed by a memorial service at the church.
