Myrtle Marie May

Myrtle Marie May, 70, rural Sedgwick, died June 15, 1990 at her home. She was born January 7, 1920 at rural Halstead, daughter of Grover and Elva Mark Bixler. Her first husband, Francis Holmes Paronto died in action in World War II. She married Donald N. May in November of 1942 at Nevada, Missouri. He died February 7, 1987. She was a homemaker and beautician. She had been a resident of rural Sedgwick for 30 years. She ws a member of the First Christian Church in Sedgwick.

Survivors: son, William Paronto, Norwalk, California; daughter, Bonnie Chronister, Halstead; brother, Donald Bixler, rural Sedgwick; sister, Juanita Herring, Wichita; her stepmother, Edna Bixler, Sedgwick; and five grandchildren.

Services were held June 18 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
