Lydia N Schmidt

Lydia N. Schnmidt, 89, resident of Moundridge Manor and former lifetime resident of Halstead, died November 2, 1990 at the Manor.

She was born March 6, 1901 at Halstead, the daughter of Jacob A.R. and Katherine Johnson Schmidt. She was a retired licensed practical nurse. She was a amember of Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead.

Survivors: four brothers, Abe Schmidt, Halstead; Norman Schmidt, Ingalls, Kansas; Melvin Schmidt, Rich Hill, Missouri and Lewy Schmidt, rural Newton; six sisters, Katherine Buller, Bernitta Schmidt, Lorene Koehn and Osie Koehn, all of Halstead; Eva Jantz, Montezuma; and Elma Jean Yost, Greensburg, Kansas.

Services were held at the church Monday with ministers Kenneth Smith and Dean Becker. Burial was in the Halstead cemetery.
