Eileen Elda (Unruh) Spore

Eileen E. Spore, 70, rural Newton, died January 29, 1990 at her home. She was born March 2, 1919 in Marion County, the daughter of Peter F. and Elizabeth Loewen Unruh. She married Arnold Spore August 5, 1939 at Newton. He died July 10, 1978. She was a retired Prairie View Mental Hospital Dietary Department employee and a homemaker. She was a member of the Halstead United Methodist Church and the Wimodausis Club.

Survivors: one son, Bryon Keith Spore, rural Newton; two daughters, Sharon Pepper, Wichita and Janice Lee, Haven one sister, Jeanne Holliday, Kingman; eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Clyde "Bud" Unruh.

Services will be Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery.
