Obituary

Irene M. Brown, 90, Fort Dodge, Kansas, former Halstead resident, died April 2, 1991 at Fort Dodge Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1900 at Halstead, the daughter of Abraham H. and Nan (Harmon) Dettweiler. A Fort Dodge resident since 1970, moving from Dodge City, she was a registered nurse.

In 1918 she married William E. Switzer at Halstead. He died April 23, 1944. She then married Michael Brown in 1959. He preceded her in death.

Survivors: son, William R. "Dick" Switzer, Keno, Oregon; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The body was cremated and interment in Halstead Cemetery will be announced at a later date. Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, is in charge of arrangements.
