Eugene W Dent

Eugene W. Dent, 68, died October 18, 1992 at Newton Medical Center. He was born Janury 20. 1924 at Newton, the son of Ula Allen and Elta Wacker Dent. A lifetime Newton resident, he was retired from Kansas Gas & Electric co. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 971 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Acrie No. 2516, all at Newton. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

Survivors: four sons; Steven Dent, Hillsboro; Rodger Dent, Tacoma, Washington, Dean Dent, McPherson and Kenny Dent, Burrton; four daughters, Aimee Metzler; Melanie Hanna; JoAnn Dent-Seybert, all of Newton; four brothers, Robert Dent, Neodesha; Donald Dent, Potwin; Loyd Dent, Fort Scott and Kenneth Dent, Livermore, California; three sisters, Waneta Ullum, Potwin; Lucille Schmidt, Newton; and Nina Danner, Independence, Missouri; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral was Wednesday at Broadway Colonial Runeral H ome Chapel in Newton. Burial was in Walton Cemetery, Walton
